Sika Primer 173 – Solvent-Based Joint Sealant Primer (1 Pint Can) (Formerly MasterSeal P 173)

Sika Primer 173 (formerly MasterSeal P 173) is a quick-drying, solvent-based primer formulated to promote adhesion of Sika polyurethane sealants on a variety of substrates including concrete, masonry, metal, and fluorocarbon-coated aluminum.

When applied to clean, dry, and prepared joint or substrate surfaces, Primer 173 helps ensure strong, durable bonding of sealants — even on difficult or non-porous surfaces where sealant adhesion might otherwise be problematic. It dries quickly and allows same-day sealant application when used properly.
