Product Description

SikaSet Waterplug (formerly MasterSeal 590) is a one-component, Portland-cement-based hydraulic repair mortar engineered to stop running water through concrete or masonry cracks, holes, and seepage points. Its fast-setting, expanding formulation allows for immediate water-stop action and reliable sealing even under active water pressure.

The mortar can be used above or below water and is suitable for immersion service, making it ideal for repairing static cracks, foundation leaks, basements, retaining walls, sewers, and other water-exposed structures. Once set, SikaSet Waterplug offers durable, volume-stable water-stop performance that resists shrinkage or deterioration over time.

Benefits

  • Quick-setting hydraulic repair mortar — stops water instantly and develops strength rapidly
  • Shrinkage-compensated and expanding — locks in place under constant water pressure
  • One-component — just add clean water, no additives or bonding agents required
  • Works above or below water — suitable for immersion repair, basements, sewers, foundations, and retaining walls
  • Ready to topcoat in as little as 15 minutes (with proper coating), reducing downtime
  • Durable, non-metallic, non-gypsum formulation — maintains volume stability over time

Applications

  • Sealing static cracks and holes with running water or moisture seepage in concrete or masonry
  • Underwater or sub-grade repairs — basements, foundations, retaining walls, sewers, water tanks
  • Immersion applications requiring reliable water-stop performance
  • Anchoring vertical bolts in wet or submerged concrete/masonry
  • Horizontal, vertical, or overhead patches — interior or exterior, above or below grade
