Product Description

Sika Thoroseal Acryl 60 (formerly MasterEmaco A 660) is a high-performance, water-based acrylic-polymer emulsion designed to drastically improve the properties of Portland-cement based mortars, plasters, stucco, and concrete mixes. When used as a gauging liquid or admixture, Acryl 60 enhances adhesion, cohesion, and mechanical strength — resulting in stronger, more durable repairs and finishes.

The polymer-modified mix exhibits improved compressive, tensile, and flexural strength compared to standard water-mixed mortars. It also offers enhanced freeze/thaw stability and resistance to chemical exposure and UV degradation, making it well suited for both interior and exterior applications — from structural repairs to decorative overlays.

Benefits

  • Improves adhesion and cohesion — ensures strong bond and reduces delamination risk
  • Enhances compressive, tensile, and flexural strengths for more durable, long-lasting mixes
  • Improves freeze/thaw stability and chemical/UV resistance — ideal for exterior or aggressive-environment use
  • Versatile: works with mortar mixes, overlay/slurry coats, stucco, repair mortars, and concrete screeds
  • Can be used as gauging liquid for repair mortars or waterproofing coatings (e.g. hybrid mortars, waterproof coatings)

Applications

  • Repair mortars, patching compounds, overlays, stucco and plaster applications
  • Cement-based coatings, masonry repairs, and patching — interior or exterior, above or below grade
  • Structural and architectural concrete repairs, where enhanced adhesion and durability are needed
  • Projects requiring frost resistance, chemical exposure durability, or increased mechanical strength
Chemical Base
Water-based acrylic-polymer emulsion
Packaging
1 gal, 5 gal, 55 gal containers
