MPC (Multipurpose Protective Coating) is polymerized, two component, cementitious protective coating that can be applied over a variety of surfaces including concrete, masonry, metal, wood and tile. It consists of a unique rubber-like polymer liquid which is mixed with a proprietary cement and aggregate blend. The material is then applied in two or more coats by trowel, brush, roller, spray or squeegee to a typical minimum thickness of 3/32’’ (2.4 mm) depending on traffic and exposure conditions.

Designed for both exterior and interior use, MPC restores and protects concrete surfaces from the consequences of exposure to chlorides, water intrusion, carbonation, freezethaw, and damage from impact and abrasion. With MPC a variety of finishes can be achieved to either restore concrete to a “like new” appearance or provide enhanced visual interest and curb appeal through a wide range of available colors, textures and patterns.

MPC is an extremely durable, cost-effective protective coating that is “breathable” and allows for the transmission of inherent moisture vapor within the concrete without blistering or delamination. MPC’s ability to permit the escape of concrete moisture vapor can help to reduce corrosion rates of steel reinforcement.
