Product Description

Sikagard 30 ER (formerly MasterKure ER 50) is a professional-grade evaporation reducer designed to slow surface moisture loss from freshly placed concrete under rapid-drying conditions. Its use is especially beneficial in high ambient temperatures, low humidity, high wind, direct sunlight, or heated interior pours — where quick surface evaporation can lead to plastic shrinkage cracking, wind crusting, or premature crusting during finishing.

The product can be used on air-entrained or non-air-entrained concrete, including mixes containing silica fume or fly ash. Sikagard 30 ER does not affect early or ultimate concrete strength, abrasion resistance, or durability; instead it promotes more uniform hydration by allowing reduced slump or water content while preserving workability and preventing surface dehydration. Finished surfaces demonstrate improved finish quality, reduced surface defects, and better long-term strength development.
